Disappointed Customers Rally Online Against Denny Campervan Firm

A growing number of dissatisfied customers have turned to social media to voice their frustrations with CampervanCo, an eco-friendly campervan business based in Denny, Scotland. Reports of unfulfilled orders, poor communication, and unresolved issues have prompted affected individuals to establish an online complaints group to share experiences and seek resolution.

The Emergence of an Online Campaign

Customers, some of whom traveled long distances to collect purchased campervans, claim they found the company’s premises unexpectedly closed. Others have reported ongoing mechanical issues with their vehicles and a lack of after-sales support from the business.

In response, a Facebook group titled “Complain against Campervan Co Scotland” has been set up. The group provides a platform for disappointed buyers to document their grievances, exchange advice, and explore potential legal action.

“People have invested significant sums, only to feel ignored and left without recourse,” said Jane Robertson, one of the group’s organizers. “We’re determined to hold the company accountable.”

Mixed Reviews Online

CampervanCo, which markets itself as a leader in sustainable campervan conversions, has previously received praise for its innovative designs and eco-friendly ethos. However, recent online reviews paint a more mixed picture. Positive feedback often highlights the vehicles’ unique features, while critical reviews cite long wait times, lack of communication, and subpar customer service.

One reviewer wrote, “The campervan itself is brilliant, but the delays and lack of updates were incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this company unless they improve their service.”

Affected Customers Speak Out

For Fiona MacDonald, a customer from Aberdeen, the experience was especially disheartening. “I paid a deposit over six months ago and was promised delivery by November. It’s now December, and I can’t get a clear answer on when—or if—I’ll get my campervan.”

Other customers echo similar sentiments, with some reporting that their emails and calls have gone unanswered for weeks.

No Official Response Yet

CampervanCo has yet to issue a public statement addressing the complaints. Attempts to contact the company for comment have so far been unsuccessful. This silence has further fueled frustration among customers, many of whom feel their concerns are being ignored.

Seeking Solutions

Consumer advocacy groups urge affected individuals to document their interactions with the company and consider filing formal complaints with trading standards agencies. Legal experts also suggest that customers review their contracts for breach of agreement clauses, which could serve as a basis for seeking compensation.

A Warning to Future Customers

As complaints mount, prospective buyers are advised to exercise caution when engaging with CampervanCo. Thorough research and careful consideration are recommended to avoid potential pitfalls.

For now, the Facebook group remains a critical hub for those seeking answers and support. Whether this grassroots campaign will prompt action from the company or lead to broader changes in customer service practices remains to be seen.
