Motorhome owners can now enjoy the convenience of year-round overnight stays at forestry car parks across Moray, thanks to a new policy aimed at boosting tourism and enhancing accessibility to the region’s natural beauty.

Previously, motorhome stays were restricted to certain times of the year, limiting opportunities for off-season travellers. The change allows visitors to park overnight in designated forestry car parks throughout all seasons, providing greater flexibility for exploring Moray’s lush woodlands and scenic landscapes. 

The move has been welcomed by local tourism advocates and motorhome enthusiasts alike. “This is a fantastic step toward promoting sustainable tourism and encouraging visitors to experience Moray’s outdoors, no matter the time of year,” said a representative of a local tourism group.

While the initiative offers convenience, visitors are encouraged to follow any specific guidelines to ensure their stay aligns with responsible outdoor practices, such as proper waste disposal and respecting wildlife.

A charge is payable of £7 for an over night stop for self contained campervans.
